Larry Merington

Larry Merington is the President & CEO of Veneration Holdings, a holding company for consulting, merger and acquisition, operations improvement and business planning services located in New Orleans, LA. Larry has been a senior executive and C-level leader in companies spanning multiple industries including energy, specialty chemicals, waste management, technology and international manufacturing, with the most recent experience over the last 12 years in the deathcare industry. He is known for taking on the challenges associated with restructuring companies, creating value and competitive advantage while developing high performance cultures.

Larry holds a graduate degree from St. Edward's University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, with additional education from the USAF Air War College. He is a 30-year veteran of the Air Force Reserves as a fighter pilot, having flown over 50 combat missions and being deployed as a commander to Afghanistan after 9/11. He retired as a Wing Commander of a fighter group with the rank of Colonel.

One of his most passionate pursuits is that of teaching the next generation of business leaders through his efforts as a professor at Tulane University where he manages the highly regarded Business Capstone course and coordinating the ten professors teaching this experiential curriculum.

Merington is a leadership member of several non-profit organizations and is an active participant in the many social activities associated with New Orleans. He and his wife, Jan, share their home with their daughter Olivia.
